The presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party PDP, ATIKU ABUBAKAR, and the National Working Committee have been urged to reach out and reconcile with Rivers State Governor NYESOM WIKE for the interest of the party.
A political affairs analyst JACKSON LEKAN-OJO who made the call while addressing journalists in Port Harcourt said Governor WIKE is a valuable asset that the party could not afford to leave out in the run up to the 2023 presidential election.
He described Governor WIKE as pillar in the PDP whose political strength and connection will be vital to the success of the party.
The political affairs analyst also said in spite of the insinuations in various quarters, the Rivers State Governor is not likely to leave the PDP for any other party.
LEKAN-OJO while acknowledging that the recent outcome of the presidential primaries and the selection of vice presidential candidate has left a crack in the party, expressed the hope that the party will use the internal party mechanism to settle the disputes
