Labour Party Presidential Candidate, PETER OBI, has identified tribal-based politics as the cause of the underdevelopment in Nigeria.
OBI, who spoke during a national television programme, emphasised that the elites and electorate had relegated competence for religious considerations in making choices in previous elections.
The former Anambra State Governor said the voting public were hiring vehicle drivers instead of pilots to fly airplanes, while expecting not to crash.
PETER OBI was speaking on the backdrop of comments by New Nigeria People’s Party Presidential Candidate, RABIU KWAKWASO that the Labor Party flagbearer was not sellable to Northern voters.
The Labour Party Presidential Candidate also bemoaned the level of insecurity in the North Western geopolitical zone, and the general poor economic outlook in almost all sections of the country.
