On 14th October, 2006, John Terry played the role of an emergency goalkeeper for Chelsea against FC
Peter Cech had picked up an injury and was subbed off five minutes into the game, and Carlo Cudicini, second choice goalkeeper also picked up a nasty injury as well.
Amid all the chaos, John Terry stepped up and decided to be Chelsea's goalkeeper until full-time. Chelsea went on to win the game 1-0, despite being one man down while John Terry kept a cleansheet.
