Nollywood Actor Williams Uchemba - Is Now a Pastor, See his Message

Good morning my Beloved Brethren,
Date: Saturday, April 2, 2022
Topic: BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS
Read: Matthew 5:9

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God" (Matthew 5:9).

Peace is a gift of God's love. It is not the condition emanating from the absence of war and violence. Rather, it is a sweet and stable feeling of calm in the heart of a man who is entirely submissive to the will of God. This feeling transcends human explanation. It is true that no meaningful progress can be achieved in an atmosphere of war, chaos and violence. Communities where violence thrive usually see no progress as lives and businesses are adversely affected and companies tend to avoid such violent environments. Families that have no peace also do not enjoy unity and those who do not promote peace also cannot be at rest in their hearts.

In our text today, Christ said that peacemakers will be called the children of God. This means that your being addressed as a child of God rests on how peace-loving you are. Christ, while on earth, was a man of peace. We, His followers, must also learn to depart from all forms of violence and seek peace with God, in our families, among brethren, neighbours, in our communities, places of business and especially within our hearts. Inner peace is the beginning of tranquility around us.

A peace lover lives in peace, prays for peace, preaches peace, speaks peacefully, and supports activities that promote peace. When you clainm to be a child of God, show it by promoting and living in peace. Teach peace and fashion out ways for peace to reign. Being peaceful requires great sacrifice, love and tolerance towards the activities of others. Endeavour to be an ambassador of peace everywhere you go. Then you can boldly say, 'I am a child of God'.

PRAYER:
Jehovah Shalom, help me to preach and encourage peace. I pray for peace in my heart family, neighbourhood, business place and among brethren in Christ name. Amen.
